Stream side is a decent camping site. It’s a big site and can accommodate good number of tents. It is a safe site. It is family friendly and kids friendly. BBQ is ok (Chicken & Paneer). Food provided is simple home cooked and good in taste. Early Morning, hill side view, from the tents is very good. A small stream goes near the campsite where they will take you for hiking in morning. It’s a 3 km light hiking through the woods, stream, paddy fields and a small village . Coffee and tea are available in morning and evening. Charging points are available at multiple places. Parking area is available in the site. It is a very good place for star gazing and astrophotography. But that completely depends on the climate. If it rains or is cloudy then you will be disappointed. Toilets are clean but if it rains and crowd is more then it will get muddy and dirty pretty fast.All in all it was a good experience for me. My family enjoyed the stay and I was able to do some astrophotography. I have shared few pics of my stay. There is lot of scope for improvement and they are working towards it. What i liked about this place was the behaviour and service of Thiru and his team. They were very polite and helpful. Thiru is the owner and he was interacting and addressing to all the concerns from the customers personally. He himself is an astrophotography enthusiast. My son enjoyed this campsite very much. He really liked the hiking and sleeping inside the tent at night. He made new friends in the campsite and was running around with them whole day. I was amazed that he didn’t ask for the mobile or tab even once.

Watching the Perseid Meteor Shower from Steam Side on August 12 was nothing short of magical! Initially the sky was too cloudy but after 2 am the sky was perfectly clear, providing an unobstructed view of the stunning meteor display. The location was ideal far from city lights, which made the stars shine even brighter. The meteors were frequent and vivid, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that kept us all in awe for hours.Steam Side itself was a great spot to watch the event. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the open space allowed for a panoramic view of the sky. We brought our blankets and snacks, and the evening turned into a memorable stargazing picnic.If you’re looking for a serene, beautiful place to enjoy celestial events like the Perseid Meteor Shower, I highly recommend Steam Side. It's an experience I’ll cherish for a long time
I had a wonderful stay. The tent quality, in particular, was very good. The staff were very friendly. Mr. Thiru, the host, is very polite and gentle. Mr. Imran, the trekking guide, is excellent, and his photography skills are amazing. I really enjoyed my time with a great view .
Stayed here for two nights.At times we were a bit demanding with our requests but Thiru helped us with everything with a big smile on his face.We spent a good time talking with him about his experiences and about the local surroundings. He helped us with the local must visit spots.The stay, a perfect spot for camp lovers n team outings. You will be far away from the next residence and the feel of being there by yourself was awesome.The restrooms were well maintained n clean. Enough toilets.Didn’t feel crowded even through there were around 20 tents. They were considerate by having separate camp spots for families, bachelors and corporate get togethers.Will definitely go again.
Great hospitality and location. All the activities were well planned and executed. The good food was like the icing on the cake. Mr thiru was very humble and soft-spoken.The tents could be improved though. But the rest room hygiene was very well maintained.Overall a great experience.
Perfect place to stay for any time. I went on this year end celebration with my family (Wife and 3 year daughter). We enjoyed and they organized well and its neat. Thiru Sir, Srinidhi Mam and Loges Bro was very polite and all the other people in this organizing team were supportive and helpful.
Recently, I enjoyed enchanting streamside camping at Yelagiri Hills. The serene ambiance, stargazing by the stream, and well-laid trekking trails created an unforgettable retreat. Perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers, with a delightful barbecue to top off the experience. Highly recommended for those seeking a serene escape amidst nature.

Awesome stay, tent, as well as room option we have, main it's location we have all places near to this site.We had more fun & it was a great experience. They served us with great care. The tent stay was the best.
I just stayed there with my family and it was wonderful experience we enjoyed very well. Safety wise all good I stayed with 5 year old son. If your coming with group of people this the best place in yelagiri for you to enjoy your time. Especially during night time you can get good experience with all the atmosphere like 🎭 open screen, ⛺ Tent stay with campfire 🔥. The owner Mr Thiru was very kind and reachable at anytime. Thanks for making cool memorable moments even though yelagiri climate was not cool.
Thiru & his team are great hosts.They have rooms on 1st floor and a huge camp site.It was a unique stay away from the hustle.Had a comfortable, safe and hygienic stay.Looking forward to visiting again.
Had a very great experience in this place. We booked a tent and the stay was really awesome and a new experience. Especially a special mention for the night barbeque chicken. During the stay we had a chance to see the moon and Saturn planet closely. That was really a new experience. Nice place for kids to learn things about the astro.
First of all they have a wonderful management team with amazing attitude. One among the best place to be around on a weekend. We went on a rainy day so we missed few bucket lists which we planned to do here(open theatre & stargazing). But we had a memorable night here. With a very silent environment this place made us feel our mental stress go far away in dark... "Time can't be stoped until there's an end for Imagination on our next second", So imagine going to this place atleast for a second & you'll be pleased to stay there.Note: plan for a trip during non rainydays.
Highly recommend this spot and service worthy place to spend a weekends hereon. This is my first experience in tent that was awesome and really enjoyable.. We played a cricket in the evening and morning with strangers that was an amazing... Totally preferable... ❤💥🤙

Had an amazing stay here. Best campsite, tents were super clean, barbeque dinner, open air theatre with good audio and viewing planets and moon on telescope. Thanks Thiru. Highly recommended
